April 17 - Thursday

• Multiple Times - Arrivals

  • Welcome to Cartagena! you all will be picked up at the airport.  Please follow the exit signs after picking up your luggage. Driver will be waiting outside with a sign.

    • 12:55pm/1:20 pm Delta 984

      • Note: This flight keeps changing its arrival time. We will track the flight number and be ready to get the group upon arrival.

  • Upon arrival, you will be welcomed at the house by Cesar and the house staff, and shown to your room.  

  • Some Tips: 

    • Bring Alcohol with you. Buy some at duty free in the US or in Cartagena upon arrival. ​

    • No need to exchange a lot of money in advance. It might be better to use ATMs in Cartagena as they give the best exchange rate. 

    • Most places will accept credit card.  BUT always confirm the amount you are being charged on the machine before accepting charges.

    • Download Splitwise App in advance. Expenses for dinners, alcohol, and others will be added to a Splitwise group for easy breakdown of amounts due. 

    • Weather in Cartagena is hot.  Average is high 80's during the day.  Pack accordingly. 

• Free Afternoon​

  • Time to settle in, enjoy the house, or explore around the house on your own.

    • Some places to check out near the house are San Diego Plaza (here), the Hotel Santa Clara for a drink (here), and the Fernandes Madrid Plaza (here);

    • or for ATMs and perhaps some last minute shopping you could go to El Exito (here), or La Serrezuela Mall (here)

• 6:50 PM - Dinner Reservation

  • Please be ready at this time to walk together to dinner at Cande Restaurant.

    • This is ​​a 3 minute walk from the house. Is located here.

    • You will have two pre-fixed menus to choose from.  The menus will include three courses, a starting cocktail, a glass of wine, and water.  Cost will be around $55. You will be able to order more drinks if desired.​​​​​​​​​

April 18 - Friday 

• 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM - Breakfast at the house 

• 9:30 AM to Noon - City Walking Tour

  • Time to be officially introduced to Cartagena de Indias! We will walk Cartagena's magical streets, check out landmarks, and learn some history, fun facts, and tips to help us enjoy the rest of the trip even more.

  • This experience will be guided. 

• Lunch and free Afternoon

  • Lunch will be on your own. Recommendations will be provided during the tour. ​

  • Enjoy a free afternoon around the house or town. 

  • See some options for restaurants here. 

• 6:00 PM - Sunset Drinks 

  • Be ready at this time to head out as a group to check out one or two of the best rooftops in the city. ​ 

  • The plan is to walk to dinner from here.  

• 7:15 PM - Dinner Reservation

  • Please be ready at this time to walk together to dinner at Manglar

    • Restaurant is located here.

    • This dinner will be a la carte.

April 19 - Saturday​​

• 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM - Breakfast at the house

• 09:00 AM to 5:00 PM - Island Hopping!  

  • Time for some sailing and island fun! Let's explore Barú and Rosario Islands.

    • Please be ready at this time to depart towards the marina.  We will be catching taxis or Ubers (Cost not included.)

    • Plan to bring towels, sun block, repellent, cash, alcohol. 

    • We are stopping at Bora Bora for lunch. Lunch is not included. 

  • Return will be from the marina. Taxis or Ubers. 

• 8:00 PM - Celebration at home

  • Time for a ki ki! - Dinner, drinks, and dancing. 

    • Dinner will be at home, especially prepared for us by the house chef!

    • The plan is to have dinner and party at the house. Be ready to have an extravaganza in honor of Cesar

    • Dress Code: Your Best Easter Sunday Outfit! bring your best pastels, vibrant colors, and prints galore.

April 20  - Sunday​​

• 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM - Breakfast at the house

• 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM - Island Resort​ Day! ​

  • ​Day passes at a beach resort of Blue Apple. 

    • Drinks, Lunch, Music, pool, and more. Sunday Funday indeed. 

    • This hotel/resort appears in the Michelin guide for hotels. It is special and gay friendly.

  • We will depart as a group at this time to our pick up spot. Taxis and Ubers (Cost not included).  We will be welcomed with a drink and taken to our area around the pool. 

  • A day to relax, have fun and let loose! 

  • Note: Everyone will have to pay a port fee of $16,000 pesos at the pier. This is about $4 USD.  Please make sure to have Colombian currency to pay for this tax. 

• Free Evening 

  • Take this night to explore on your own. We will have recommendations for dinner and more in case you would like to make reservations in advance.

April 21 - Monday​

• Free Morning - Breakfast at the house

• Free Day

  • This is a day to explore; do some shopping, check out places we haven't been to, or do additional activities.  Or we can also simply enjoy the house, relax, lay by the pool, and enjoy the rooftop.  

• 6:45 PM - Birthday Dinner Reservation

  • ​Let's celebrate our Cesar one last time on his actual birthday, in one of his favorite restaurants; Mar y Zielo.

  • We will depart together at this time. ​ This is ​​a 10 minute walk from the house. It is located here.

  • This dinner will be a la carte.

  • Dress Code: Natural tones with easy light fabrics that highlight the heat of Cartagena with a flare of chic nights out.

April 22 - Tuesday

• Free Morning - Breakfast at the house

• Multiple Times - Departures

  • Time to say good bye, but with many new stories to share and unforgettable memories to keep. These are the pick up times baed on your flight:

  • The house spans three levels. First level: traditional entrance hall leading to the main living room. From the living room, a vestibule leads to the central patio, which has a deep pool jacuzzi-style, a covered seating area, and a lower-level relaxation space with a continuous bench for sunbathing and unwinding under the palm trees.  In this level, you can also find the large open dining room, a kitchen with a contemporary local design, and 5 of the 7 bedrooms.  Second level: Two wooden cabins and 2 bedrooms with independent access.  Third level: a lookout that offers a large wooden bench for enjoying the sun and the view. 

  • Each room has AC and a full private bathroom.
