Even though you will have a busy schedule, we hope you will still have time to explore Antigua. Its cobble streets and colonial architecture are beautiful.  You can also visit some the ruins of many monasteries, convents, and churches that were destroyed and/or abandoned after multiple earthquakes hit the city last century.  I recommend walking to at least one of them (e.g. Capuchinas, Santo Domingo)

PLEASE NOTE:

  • Nights out - Night life in Antigua is rather calm, but there are bars everywhere; breweries, whiskey bars, dive bars, etc. These are are just some I like:

    • Drinks / Night Life

      • Cafe no se - Bar - Hipster vibe. Good drinks

      • Barrio - Open courtyard with multiple bars. Cocktail bar, whisky bar, sports/Irsih bar, etc.  It's fun, good drinks. All types of people in each place.  Like this one there are others similar. Bars around courtyards in colonial houses.  Feel free to explore.

      • La Casa Del Run - Upscale bar for cocktails, small bites, and rum tasting.

      • Gay Party on Saturday - Fridas - Mexican Rest that hosts a gay party last Saturday of the month. Only gay club night in Antigua.

      • Dance Club - Las Vibras de la Casbah - Late night in Antigua. Fun, Young crowd, top 40 music.

  • Lunch/Dinners -  There are also tons of restaurants. Usually pretty good.  These are some I particularly like: Let me know if you are interested in any of them, or would like us to choose some to make reservations based on your preference:

    • More gourmet and elegant, but with cool vibe. Live music sometimes

      • Hector Bistro (Traditional, Steak)
