six days in havana

(nov 7-12/Nov 14-19)

Thanks again for considering working with me to plan out this trip.  Habana truly is one of my favorite destinations!! and hope we get to show it to you

This is a high level summary of what we can do for you. A sample of what the trip can look like to get feedback and input so we can continue to tailor it.

Please Note:

  • These are estimates for 5 nights/6 days, 10 people

  • We classify activities into two categories, local activities and day trips, This estimate includes four local activities, and one day trip.

  • We will work on this plan, until the group is satisfied and itinerary is confirmed.  Pricing will be adjusted as needed in the process.

  • Recently the US government announced it will create additional restrictions to travel to Cuba, We are paying close attention to see when they come out with official information.  In the meantime we recommend to plan as it nothing is changing, and then try to adapt if required.  Also, this might be best time to purchase tickets, etc. before things change and restrictions are applied.  Let me know if you have any questions about this.

  • I am listing a range of accommodations to give you an idea of what we could get.  These properties are examples we could actually rent, but we will need to confirm dates first.  For now, these seem available for one or two of the weekends we are considering.

  • I looked into my favorite areas of the city for places that would still reflect the Habana vibe, were comfortable, and all the amenities you would need.

  • Habana Vibe:  I call this how many houses in Habana are decorated.  They are very colorful, a lot of the linen looks the same, furniture can look old, finishings can look old, etc.  This is simply the reality of the city, of the country.   Nevertheless, it is charming, and part of the culture.   There are more modern places as well; I could look for some, but they are just usually more expensive. You tell me

Option One - Old town House - $6649

  • This one is a large one level home in old town. Built in the early 1800's, it was renovated in the early 1900's! So it is not modern, but it is charming, and very classic. The furniture and the amenities are older, but classic. Cute living room, dining room, long balcony. Small terrace.

  • It is in the Old Town, so close walking distance to a lot of museums, plazas, the bay, etc.  You could just walk around and feel like you don't have to leave. It is the most touristic area.

  • This one has 5 rooms/5 baths - 9 guests max.

    • Room A - Double Bed

    • Room B - Double and Single

    • Room C - Two Singles (Or one King if together)

    • Room D - Two Singles.

    • Room E - Double bed

The next two options are located in a newer side of town than Old Town, Vedado.  This neighborhood is still classic and much older compared to what we know.  Houses are more from early 1900's.  This used to be the rich neighborhood so there are many large houses like this one, but many are abandoned.  I actually like to take clients for a walk here to see some of these beautiful houses. It is an experience.

It is not as central as old town, but there are many attractions walking distance. Also some of the best clubs and bars are in this area. Including gay bars/clubs.

One issue here is that you might need to depend more on taxis, but we can assist with that.  We can coordinate taxi for you some of the activities as needed.   Taxis can be around $25-$50 each way since it is 9 of you and large cars or at least two cars would be needed.  On the other hand, you would won't need to pay as much when going out.

Option Two -  Vedado Large Guest House - $7619

  • This house is bigger. Larger rooms, more balcony and terrace space. etc.

  • 5 bedrooms/5 baths - 12 guests max

    • All with king size beds. One room with an additional double bed

Option Three - Vedado Large Apartment  - $8139

  • This is a large apartment.  Good size rooms, large balcony with view of the famous Malecon and ocean. Some of the rooms also share this view.

  • 6 bedrooms/6 baths - 12 guests max

    • Three Rooms  with King beds

    • Two Rooms with double beds

    • One room with two single beds

The next option is located in an even newer side of town, MIramar.  This neighborhood might not even feel like "Cuba".  This is where the city continued to grow right before and after the revolution.  The wealthiest part of town.

It is located after Vedado, but our option is located right on the border of the two.  Walking distance you can find famous restaurants and also places like the FAC, and Havana's beach.

Similar to Vedado, you would need taxis or walk longer distances than if you were staying in the other areas. Again, we can help arranging transportation as needed.

Option Four - Miramar Mansion - $10299

  • This house is simply amazing. It is large like only possible in this part of town.  Large rooms and bathrooms, tons of open spaces indoor and outdoor.  Large pool (not common in Havana), sundeck, and  large game room.

  • The service staff in this house match the house. They are simply incredible and will tailor to your needs.

  • This house is also the only one with 7 bedrooms/6 baths - 12 guests max

    • Two rooms with a King and a double bed

    • Three rooms with one queen bed

    • Two rooms with one double bed
