I wanted to share with you an initial high-level plan for your fabulous party in Cartagena next year.  I hope this helps continuing the discussion and planning!

ACCOMMODATIONS (UPDATED)

 

I recommend staying in the colonial part of the city. This is where the charm and beauty of Cartagena is located.  Colonial vacation homes are the way to go.  

 

OPTIONS: I have updated the options based on the dates of Feb 27 - Mar 2.  Some options went up in price, others are not available. I tried to stay within the price range I had given you before and have new options for you.

All  these houses are located in El Centro - More classic and traditional. More developed into tourism, bigger houses, more plazas and restaurants, most of the main landmarks are located here.  On the other hand, most of the shops and vendors are here as well, so it can feel a bit more crowded and touristic, but nevertheless, very enjoyable.  

​

  • Option One -  This is a great option.  Beautiful, spacious, comfortable, with great staff and services.

    • It has 5 bedrooms and  and 6 bathrooms. 

    • All bedrooms with king size bed and two of them with an additional single bed. 

  • Option Two - This one is similar in size to the one above,  but a bit more exclusive, stylish, elegant. Great service too.  Pool a bit smaller.

    • It has 5 bedrooms and 5.5 bath​

    • Two with king size bed, two with two single beds (Could possible combine), and one with a double bed and a bunk bed.

  • Option Three - This one is a cheaper option, nevertheless a good one, It just feels smaller because it is not deep, it has more stories and patio/pool is a bit smaller. Clients have liked it before.  

    • It has 5 bedrooms, 6 bath.

    • One with a  king bed,  three with queen beds, and one  with  two single beds.

  • Option Four - This house is larger, every person could  have their own room.  It is a bit more simple decor wise . and basic but it has all the essentials. Pool is a bit small but cute.  All you need.   Houses with this many rooms are much more expensive, usually starting at $800 more at night. 

    • it has 10 rooms and 10.5 bath ​

    • One with a king bed, two with two double beds,  one with two single beds,  and the rest six with a double bed.

  • Option Five -  This house is really big, large rooms. It is a bit more eccentric. Some rooms might feel like a museum.   I have been to this one. Pool is good size, but the space around it is not the largest.  A lot of floors and rooms.  Unique for sure. Price is higher  since last time. 

    • It has 8 bedrooms and 9.5 bath

    • Three with king beds, one with a double and single, three with two single beds,  and one more with 4 single beds. 

  • More Options? -  If you and your group have a larger budget I can show you bigger and/or more stylish homes. We can go much higher and larger.  Six rooms houses are similar to option 4 on price for instance,  But some larger and more stylish can  be any where between $800 to . $3000 more per night.  I just think these are good options specially if you don't need many more rooms. Let me know.

  • Sunset Catamaran Drinks (Not private) 

  • Salsa dancing!! at one of the hottest clubs in town, Havana (How appropriate) - Entrance and some drinks included. 

 

Friday

  • Explore town - Pool time.

  • History Bike Tour (Afternoon - Around Sunset) 

  • Dinner reservation / Bottle service at club (not included in price)

Saturday 

​

  • Explore town - Pool time.

  • Street food tasting/bar-rooftop hopping  (Mid Afternoon- Sunset, some drinks included)​

  • Dinner Reservation / Club (not included in price)

Sunday 

​

  • ISLAND HOPPING! around the Rosario Islands. We will stop to swim, snorkel (if we want), and check out beautiful beaches a long the way where we can relax, drink, eat, and party.   We will also have drinks and ceviche made just for us! 

    • We will have lunch at one of the islands (not included in price)

Monday - Departures

​​​

  • Private transportation to the airport. 

​

Other options for activities

​​​

  • Market tour - Get a guided tour of the local "Mercado". Bazurto is a local market, raw, large, and full of local folklore and flavor. Definitely an experience.  This activity would be in the morning.

  • Mud Volcano - Like 45 min from the city there is a "mud volcano", where you can bath. It is suppose to be good for your skin. It is not for everyone, but also an unique and fun experience.  This can be morning, or early afternoon. 

  • Cooking Class

  • Salsa Dancing Class 

  • Rum Tasting

  • Horse back riding  

  • Party bus

  • Coffee Roasting Workshop and tasting - Learn about coffee, roast your own, and taste some of the best.  This is near the house.

I have listed the estimate cost by each property.  The differences are not large but substancial enough to differentiate.

Please remember this is still an estimate. Final cost would depend on many factors, like total number of people, and how soon we can secure things before they change price, etc. Nevertheless, this a close estimate and gives a good idea of what the trip would cost.
